Most professional athletes have one team they play with that defines their career. Michael Jordan with the Chicago Bulls and Michael Schumacher with Ferrari are great examples of this. David Beckham is no different, and the team that defined his early career was Manchester United!
It was on December 7th 1994 that David Beckham finally realized his dream and saw action in a Manchester United game. All his years of hard work and dedication paid off! But, as with many young soccer players, it was short lived. He bounced around various clubs and tried his best to break into the lineup of Manchester United without any success.
It wasn’t until 1996 that David actually became a full member of the squad and started playing in almost all their games. He achieved immediate success, and while not all the fans and the media liked him, they had to appreciate the skill, football strategy and the dedication to the game he brought. He was a consistent performer for the team until 2003, when an injury kept him out of the lineup, and he was unable to retake his old position. As time when on, the relationship he had with the management went stale, and before long, he was playing for Real Madrid.
Manchester United is where David got his start as a professional soccer player. It was the setting for the beginning of this world class soccer players illustrious career, and nobody will forget the golden years he spent there.
